PLAYWRITE SUBMISSION

The Central Texas Performing Arts Festival submissions are now open for playwriters to submit a short original play. For the June 2024 Performing Arts Festival in Waco, Tx. All scripts must be submitted no later than April 1, 2024. We advise that you copyright or register your work before submission. CTPAF will not be held responsible for any misappropriation of submitted works.

Eligibility:
• Scripts must be original works.
• Scripts must be in standard playwriting format.
    o All genre family friendly accepted. (Please refrain from explicit language).
• The playwriters must be an African American or of African American descent.
• The play performance must be 30 mins – 45mins. Anything less or more will be disqualified.
• You will have 15mins for set up and take downbefore and after the performance during the festival.
• No smoke machines, confetti, or any decorative displays are allowed for live performances.
• You can only submit one script per playwright.
• $50 Entry Fee.

Early Bird Special: $30 February 5th – 29th, $40 March 1st – 15th

All works will be given careful consideration before selections are made. Our Submission Committee will select from all eligible submission to perform for grand prize at the CTPAF. If you receive anemail from our submissions committee stating that you were selected, please plan to be in attendance on June 20th – 22nd, 2024.
